For fine dining under the Wailea sun
and stars, The Seawatch Restaurant has been enticing locals and visitors alike
since 1994. Several unique dining areas flow gently into each other and into the
lush, tropical vistas that make up the Wailea coastline. The expansive interior
is adorned with the bold, vivid paintings of renowned Maui artist Jan Kasprzycki,
while majestic palms and island flora add to the lush, tropical feel of The

effortlessly. The lanai offers
stunning views of the islands of Molokini and Kahoolawe, as
well as the rich green landscape that reaches up to Haleakala
Crater. Spectacular sunsets light up the Maui skies each
evening, and humpback whales are a familiar sight in the Maui
waters throughout winter and spring. Beyond the memorable
ambience, what keeps diners coming back to The Seawatch is the
innovative cuisine of Chef Todd Carlos. Using local
ingredients and fish caught daily in Hawaiian waters, Chef
Carlos creates dishes with fresh, clean flavors that are
depicted in a style that he calls "coastal cuisine". The blend
of the casually elegant ambience and spark of Chef Carlos'
unique cuisine are a winning combination that make The
Seawatch Restaurant in Wailea a culinary destination. |

"SeaWatch
is a good choice from morning to evening, and it's one of the more
affordable stops in Wailea. You'll dine on the terrace or in a
high-ceilinged room, on a menu that carries the tee-off-to-19th-hole crowd
with ease. From breakfast on, it's a celebration of island bounty: Maui
onions on the bagels and lox, kalua pork and Maui onions in the scrambled
eggs, crab cake Benedict with roasted pepper hollandaise. Lunchtime
sandwiches, pastas, salads, wraps, and soups are moderately priced, and
you get 360-degree views to go with them. The cashew chicken wrap with
mango chutney is a winner, but if that's too Pan-Asian for you, try the
tropical fish quesadilla or the grilled fresh-catch sandwich with Kula
lime aioli. Save room for the bananas Foster." |
