In May 1961, Ray Dambach opened
the Northwoods Inn, which quickly became famous for its steak
and prime rib dinners. Now, in a new location since 1997, Northwoods Inn continues to provide its famous steak and
prime rib, plus trout, chicken, catfish and more. The soup is homemade daily and the
cottage cheese
is one of a kind--a recipe created over 41 years ago.
Throw peanut shells on the floor and enjoy Paul Bunyan-sized
meals in our logging-camp atmosphere. If you go away from the
Northwoods Inn hungry, we would like to know the reason
why!!! |

"Best Mild West Steakhouse" -
Best of Denver Westword 2005
"For years, this quaint spot
has drawn folks from across Colorado to enjoy a
rough-and-tumble atmosphere right out of the Old West. Crunch
through piles of peanut shells on the way to your table, where
you can munch on nuts and contribute to the mess. Each massive
steak comes with homemade seasoning, salad, fresh-baked bread,
baked potato and a beverage."

"..But here, it's the meat
that matters, and Northwoods delivers with big whacks of
American prime done right, every time, and with prices that
come in at about half of what you'd pay at some of the big
chains."
