At I'o restaurant, you'll find innovative cuisine,
hip decor and fabulous sunsets. Etched glass, sleek curves, and gleaming
surfaces set off the fiery sunsets just beyond the oceanfront lanai. Chef
McDonald's innovative menu, best described as "East meets West fusion",
features seafood, the freshest possible, brought directly to the restaurant's
front door by the fisherman the same day it's caught. The newest menu innovation
at I'o is the Crudo appetizers (crudo in Italian means raw) -- selections that

"Not only do you have fabulous sunset views, the
cuisine and interior décor of I’o more than lives up to its
oceanfront setting. Choose either a window table or an al fresco table on the
front lanai. Service is impeccable. As part of its hip atmosphere I’o
specializes in lovely Martinis that barely conceal their potency with
whimsical names. I’o’s martinis work awfully well with some of the best
appetizers on the island. Lahaina waited a long time for ultra-sophisticated
Asian-Pacific Rim cuisine to arrive and the hip surroundings of this
"hidden" Front Street restaurant provide a very satisfying (experience).. Congratulations to award-winning Chef
McDonald for helping to raise the culinary and wine tasting bar on Maui and then
