Chef Glenn Chu prepares memorable cuisine at his award-winning Honolulu  restaurant, Indigo. Perhaps it was the childhood memories of impressive holiday feasts prepared by his Chinese grandmother that made Chu want to be a chef.  His signature Eurasian cuisine will entice you to return again and again.   Asian Lanterns, decorative rattan and bamboo, and  lush, tropical plants overlooking a picturesque waterfall, located on the edge of modern day downtown and historic Chinatown.
The modern Eurasian Cuisine, with an eclectic wine list of over 85 pairings, is dramatically presented to liven up the stylish settings - and it is excellent.  Many guests choose to order an assortment of the small plates for sharing East-meets-West delicacies. The menu also includes entree platters and an assortment of pizzas with Chinese-style toppings.

Since it opened in 1994, Indigo has been consistently chosen as:

Top O'ahu Restaurant, Best Downtown Restaurant, Restaurant of Distinction, and Best Bar (2001), each year by Honolulu Magazine’s Hale Aina Award, Honolulu Weekly and The Downtown Planet. 

  

   Indigo has received notoriety with Chef Glenn Chu's appearances on both local and national cooking programs, and through national gourmet publications, including Bon Appetite, Gourmet Magazine and Conde Naste.  Indigo was also featured in the infamous Visa commercial with Hawaii's own sumo champion, Yokozuna Konishki.

Grapes of Wrath Indigo Wine Club meets every Tuesday at 6 pm. Learn about different wines by sampling them in the company of other wine enthusiasts. Pupus served to complement each week's selections. $20/person. Reservations required.
