"Busy Hee Hing, owned by the Lee family, has been an O'ahu
favorite with locals since it opened in 1963. The daily dim
sum service is particularly popular. Signature dishes include
roasted garlic Maine lobster and lemon chicken." |

"Hee Hing
remains a Honolulu favorite. Though parts of the menu have a distinct
Americanized edge to them, you can get a pleasant Cantonese and Szechuan meal
here. Come lunch time, Hee Hing serves some five dozen types of dim sum, an
admirable selection. At dinner, the dishes grow more serious, with the sound of
platters of sizzling seafood filling the air and the smells of drunken prawns,
lobster and crab in black bean sauce, whole fish in sweet-and-sour sauce,
crackling chicken, and a multitude of fried rice and pan-fried noodle dishes
filling the room. An excellent value, it’s a short jaunt from most Waikiki
hotels." |
