multi-tiered landscaping, lava rock fire pit and black granite bar. Dakota's
patio has long been considered one of the city's most romantic dining spots.
Inside, the restaurant is decorated with a hand-cut Italian Carrera marble floor in
a basket weave pattern, dark wood paneling, brown leather, marble trim and New
Orleans style brass gas lamps. There are authentic art deco lamps and mirrors
located in the back of the restaurant and stately classical wood columns -
salvaged from an early 20th century beaux-arts Dallas home. The large French doors allow sunlight to stream through giving the
dining room warmth and light. Don't miss this underground jewel!

"All
of Dakota's beef is USDA prime and dry-aged for four weeks,
resulting in a seriously tender, flavor-intense piece of meat.
Ours was seasoned simply with a sprinkle of salt and had flavor
nearly gamelike in its intensity. The next day, we were still
delighted by the leftovers." - Kim Harwell, Dallas Morning

"
At this underground downtown dining spot, start with the
seared foie gras with roasted apples, followed by a bone-in,
dry-aged filet. The sunken courtyard sparkles from a
cascading wall of water and, at night, from the glimmer of
tree lights from streets high above." - D Magazine

atmosphere and fare are perfect for entertaining clients,
